In this patch two ONE modules. ONE’s audio out goes into the Z2040 LPF, and the Z4000 Envelope is used to control the Z2040 cut off frequency for a snappy rounded sound. A touch of Z-DSP running ROOM from the Halls of Valhalla card added wight to the sound with an exponential decaying tail.
Just like Black Shape’s track “Doom Room”, remixed by Franz Alice Stern, “Doom Room”’s video has been remixed too; starting from the hand-drawn character of the original animation videoclip, here the little monster has become a sculpture, again realized by the artist Matteo Giampaglia.
Tiptop Audio and Lattex Plus are joining together to host a modular synthesizer event in the heart of Italy, featuring the artistically vibrant city of Florence. This event is open to all manufactures of Modular Synthesizers and electronic music technology entrepreneurs.
This is a two-day event at April 24-25 2017 which will take place at the prestigious IED – European Design Institute known for its programs in design, fashion, and visual communication.
Tiptop Audio Records finds the perfect way to conclude 2016 with this new release!
Black Shape is a project by Piero Fragola and Mattia Tuliozi.
The EP opening track “Doom Room” was already released on the second double vinyl compilation Tiptop Audio Records, published this past January. Featuring a groove built around the inventive, if somewhat unlikely, source of slide blues guitar and dislocated vocals, Doom Room lives up to its title.
QuantiZer is a creative melody composing module that uses cutting edge analog electronics and DSP to tune analog VCOs precisely into Western musical scales.
The front panel is packed with functions that makes it very playable and intuitive to use, with a layout that moves forward from the typical quantizer design.
This black and white animated videoclip elaborates the visual experiences of a distant past in a highly contemporary language.
This work explores the tradition of the Thaumatrope, the nineteenth-century optical toy acknowledged as a precursor of moving image media. It is a disk with a picture on each side, attached to two pieces of string, whose twirling creates the illusion of interpenetration of the parts.
ANGLE presents their newest A/V system ‘Shining Back’, a grid structure of LED lights pulsing in a geometric matrix to the duo’s live rhythms.
Their productions are a cross between techno and electronic music, made by using a modular synthesizers system, fully enjoying the strong power of analog sound.
